Nghe An candidates evaluate the 10th grade entrance exam in English
Many candidates said that this year's exam was more difficult than last year's and had a high level of classification.
At the exam site of Le Viet Thuat High School (Vinh City), Cao Thai Bao (a student of Trung Do Middle School) was one of the first candidates to leave the school gate, amidst applause from young volunteers and parents. Bao said that this year's English exam was more difficult than last year's.
“For me, the hardest part was correcting mistakes. It only took me about 40 minutes to do the test, I had to go home and compare my answers, but I think I got over 8 points,” Bao said.

Similar to Bao, Hoang Thu Huyen (Hung Dung Secondary School) said that this year's exam was diverse, with both difficult and easy parts. "For me, only the reading comprehension part was a bit difficult. I think I got over 7 points," Huyen said. Le Viet Thuat High School has 1,181 registered candidates this year, but only has 810 spots, with 20 grade 10 classes.
At the exam site at Con Cuong High School, commenting on this year's English exam, candidate Nguyen Thi Ha said that the exam ensured the important factor of classifying candidates and correctly assessing the learners' abilities. The exam was not too difficult, and candidates could achieve the minimum score. "However, with advanced content, this is the difficult part of the exam to assess the learners' abilities. I think the exam ensured the classification of candidates, the good thing about the exam is that it is close to the learners, effective and practical," Ha said.

Meanwhile, at the same testing site, many candidates, when asked, said that this year's English test was difficult, especially the reading comprehension section. According to many candidates, this year, for candidates with average English proficiency, they will have to struggle to complete it, and they believe that the possibility of a high score on this year's English test will be quite low.

Sharing after the exam, contestant Vy Phuong Thao, a student at Chi Khe Secondary School (Con Cuong) commented that the English exam made it difficult for contestants in the vocabulary and reading comprehension sections. There were unfamiliar words that the students had never learned before.
At the Nguyen Sy Sach High School (Thanh Chuong) exam site, after the second exam session, Nguyen Duy Tuyen, a 9C student at Thanh Luong Secondary School, said: The English multiple choice test this afternoon was a bit difficult for him. "Out of 50 questions, I can only confirm that I got 23 correct, I marked the rest to finish the test, not sure if it was right or wrong. I predict that my test score will be 5 points at most," Tuyen said.

Like Tuyen, Phan The Phuong - a 9B student at Xuan Tuong Secondary School (Thanh Chuong) shared: I found this afternoon's English exam a bit difficult. I marked the first 30 questions according to my ability, and the next 20 questions were marked randomly with increasing difficulty. "Overall, my test was only average. I predict about 6 points. I did better on the Literature test than the English test," Phuong said.
Meanwhile, in Do Luong district, candidates left the exam room in a rather relaxed mood after finishing the English exam of the 10th grade entrance exam. Most candidates at Do Luong 1 High School said that this year's English exam for 10th grade was quite easy, not many puzzles, mainly covering the core knowledge they had learned.

Candidate Nguyen Huu Huy - Vo Thi Sau Secondary School commented that this year's English exam was quite easy. Huy said that the grammar knowledge in the exam revolved around the main points of semesters 1 and 2. Those who study and review well can easily get a score of 8 to 10. "The easiest exam was the reading section, which revolved around vocabulary questions. I found the questions in this section quite easy. This year's exam is expected to have many high scores in English," Nguyen Huu Huy shared.
Smiling brightly, thinking that the test was within his ability, candidate Cao Tiet Dat - Doi Cung Secondary School happily said: "It only took me about 35 minutes to finish. Looking around, most of my friends have also finished the test."
In Quy Hop district, Ta Dang Duong - a candidate from Quy Hop town secondary school, commented that the English exam was suitable for the average student level. The reading comprehension content was a bit difficult, requiring the application of many skills and knowledge to do the test, so it differentiated candidates. English is not his strong subject, so with this test, he was confident of getting 5-6 points.

As for Cao Nguyen Thanh Phong and Nguyen Anh Khoa, two candidates from Chau Quang Secondary School, both agreed that this year's test was acceptable for students with average academic ability, basically similar to the structure of the test they had practiced, there were some questions they still did not understand in the reading comprehension section, they could only get 5 to 6 points.
In Quy Chau district, candidate Le Thi Hoang Yen - Hanh Thiet Secondary School shared: "With 50 questions in the exam, about 15% of the questions have high differentiation. With the advantage of English before the exam, I thought I would get a perfect score, but after the exam, I thought I would get a fair score."

Sharing the same feeling about this year's English exam, candidate Vo Trong Nguyen Tam - a student at Hanh Thiet Secondary School said: "The grammar and vocabulary in the exam are not difficult. However, there are still some questions that are difficult for students with good or excellent academic ability, so there will be many students who get good scores, but to get absolute scores, you must have high achievements in excellent student exams at all levels in English to achieve it"./.
