Students of Co Do High School won first prize in the provincial "Pride of Vietnam" contest
(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of March 22, Nghe An Provincial Youth Union held a closing ceremony and awarded prizes for the 4th provincial "Pride of Vietnam" Contest for the 2021-2022 school year.
The “Pride of Vietnam” contest is an annual activity organized by the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union in coordination with the Ministry of Education and Training. The contest creates a healthy and useful playground for union members and students, and also arouses the spirit of passion for learning and researching history and culture; fosters patriotism, national pride, and promotes the responsibility of Vietnamese youth in studying, training, establishing themselves, starting a career, building and defending the Fatherland.

After 2 months of implementing the contest online, the whole province had 113,912 contestants participating, ranking 1st nationwide. At the provincial final round, contestants from high schools across the province demonstrated their rich knowledge of history in the general education program; knowledge of history and culture of localities and ethnic groups; history of the Communist Party of Vietnam; biography and career of President Ho Chi Minh; history of student movements; achievements of 35 years of national renovation (1986-2021); new viewpoints and policies on developing Vietnamese culture and people in the documents of the 13th National Party Congress; cultural development strategy to 2030.

At the end of the contest, the Organizing Committee awarded certificates and prizes to 20 winners, including Truong Thi Hong Khanh, class 11C3, Co Do High School (Nghia Dan) who won first prize. With this achievement, Truong Thi Hong Khanh will represent Nghe An to compete with 64 contestants from across the country in the national final round held on March 26./.
