Hoi An will offer free admission to all visitors to the ancient town on December 4 to celebrate the 16th anniversary of Hoi An being recognized by UNESCO as a World Cultural Heritage (December 4, 1999 - December 4, 2015).

On this occasion, Hoi An also officially opened the “Nguyen Phuc Chu Walking Street” from the evening of December 3. Nguyen Phuc Chu Walking Street will be a place to recreate many activities true to the old Hoi An with folk games, art performances, exchanges, lantern making instructions, coconut leaf folding, portrait painting, antique stalls, etc. This new walking street will contribute to expanding the safe and relaxing space for visitors to fully enjoy the peaceful ancient town space.

On the morning of December 4, in Hoi An, the traditional cross-country race "For Hoi An World Cultural Heritage" will take place with the participation of a large number of local people, domestic and foreign tourists.
