Provincial Association of War Veterans: Many activities to ensure traffic safety

Implementing the Joint Resolution between the Vietnam Veterans Association and the National Traffic Safety Committee on organizing the campaign "Vietnam Veterans participate in maintaining traffic safety and order", in 2003, the Provincial Veterans Association and the Provincial Traffic Safety Committee, the Provincial Youth Union agreed on an action program to maintain traffic safety and order. The Provincial Veterans Association coordinated to promote extensive propaganda to all 161,000 members and children of veterans to properly implement traffic safety regulations.

The branches have established over 1,000 self-managed groups, security and order groups, traffic safety groups, and inter-family groups, participating in building civilized hamlets, self-managed war veteran roads, and clean and green roads. In addition, 41,000 members at the grassroots level have donated over 717,000 square meters of land to build straight and beautiful roads, ensuring traffic safety and order in each hamlet. With that achievement, the provincial War Veterans Association was awarded a certificate of merit by the National Traffic Safety Committee.
In the coming time, the Provincial Association of War Veterans will continue to deploy traffic safety assurance contents to each member, family of war veterans and all classes of people; organize the signing of contracts for war veterans and their families to comply with traffic safety, maintain good models of activities to ensure traffic safety and order, and replicate advanced examples at the grassroots level.
