Vietnam - China trade fair attracts about 700 booths
About 700 booths of domestic and foreign enterprises will participate in the Vietnam - China International Trade Fair held from November 13 to 18 at Kim Thanh Exhibition Center, Lao Cai city, Lao Cai province.

This is an activity within the framework of the 2013 National Trade Promotion Program organized by the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the People's Committee of Lao Cai province. This is the 13th fair held annually in rotation between Lao Cai province, Vietnam and Yunnan province, China.
At a press conference in Hanoi on the afternoon of October 18, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Duong, Vice Chairman of Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee, said that the fair is an important trade promotion activity to promote cooperation, economic development, investment, tourism and services between Lao Cai and the northwestern provinces of Vietnam with Yunnan province and the western provinces of China.
The fair mainly displays, introduces and promotes products with strengths of both sides such as: agriculture, forestry, seafood, machinery and equipment, electrical and electronic equipment, handicrafts, ceramics, wooden furniture... and advertises the connection of tourist routes in the economic corridor of Kunming - Lao Cai - Hanoi - Hai Phong - Quang Ninh" and other localities.
Through the fair and sideline activities such as: Display, exhibition and meeting conference between Vietnamese and Chinese enterprises co-organized by Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee and Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry, it will create an environment for businesses of both sides to learn about policies, exchange and cooperate for mutual development, contributing to expanding foreign relations, cooperation and exchange for economic development, especially in the fields of trade, services, tourism and investment.
According to the organizers, the 2011 fair held in Lao Cai had 20 contracts signed with a total value of 201 million USD, and in 2012 in Hekou, 18 contracts were signed with a value of 304 million USD, an increase of 24% compared to 2010.
