Nghe An Red Cross Society receives gifts to support flood victims

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of October 21, Nghe An Red Cross Society received support from localities and units.

Attending the reception ceremony were leaders of the Provincial Fatherland Front, the Provincial Military Command, the Department of Foreign Affairs, the Nghe An Red Cross Society and related units.

The recent floods have severely affected a large area across the province. According to preliminary statistics, initial damage in Nghe An reached nearly 1,000 billion VND.

In order to promptly encourage and support localities and families affected by the flood, on this occasion, the Ho Chi Minh City Red Cross Society donated 500 million VND; the Vietnamese Solidarity Association in Ulyanop (Russian Federation) donated 500 boxes of instant noodles; the Hanoi Red Cross Society donated 50 million VND; and Mondelez Kinh Do Vietnam Company donated 123 million VND to Nghe An people affected by floods.

Mr. Nguyen Hoang An, Vice President of the Ho Chi Minh City Red Cross Society, presented 500 million VND from the Society to Nghe An people who suffered losses in the recent floods.

Comrade Nguyen Hai Duong - Deputy Director of Nghe An Department of Foreign Affairs, presented gifts from the Association of Vietnamese Solidarity in Ulyanop (Russian Federation), supporting Nghe An compatriots.

Hanoi Red Cross Society supports Nghe An people with 50 million VND.

Representatives of Mondelez Kinh Do Vietnam Company presented gifts to support Nghe An people.

On this occasion, working delegations of Nghe An Red Cross Society directly presented gifts in Thanh Xuan and Thanh Mai communes (Thanh Chuong district), a total of 500 gifts, each worth 1 million VND.

In Yen Thanh district, 500 boxes of instant noodles from the Vietnamese Solidarity Association in Ulyanov (Russian Federation) were also handed over to people in flood-affected areas./.
