Thai Hoa Town Red Cross Society held the 2nd Congress
(Baonghean) –During 2 days (September 22 and 23), Thai Hoa Town Red Cross Association held the 2nd Congress for the term (2011-2016).
During the past term, the Thai Hoa Town Red Cross Society has implemented many practical and effective activities. In the "Mutual Love" movement, the Society has effectively mobilized social resources to support people in difficult circumstances and those in special circumstances. As a result, in 3 years, the Society has carried out social relief and humanitarian assistance with a total value of 3 billion 367 million VND; coordinated with the health sector to examine and provide free medicine to nearly 600 poor people, policy households, and the elderly; organized 07 blood donations, collecting 554 units of blood...
With those results, at the Congress, 3 collectives and 9 individuals were awarded Commemorative Medals, Certificates of Merit and Flags by the Central Association; 3 collectives and 2 individuals were awarded Certificates of Merit by the Provincial People's Committee...
In the coming term, inheriting and promoting the achieved results, the Town Red Cross Association has proposed specific tasks and solutions, continuing to affirm its core role and bridging role in humanitarian activities. In addition, it will strengthen the organization of the association at all levels to meet the requirements of the Association in the new term.
