Vietnam Red Cross Society and Ha Nam province donate 400 million VND to flood victims in Nghe An
(Baonghean.vn) – On the afternoon of October 19, Nghe An province received support for Nghe An people affected by floods from the Central Committee of the Vietnam Red Cross Society and Ha Nam province.
The delegation of Ha Nam province was led by Mr. Vu Dai Thang - Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Vice Chairman of the Ha Nam Provincial People's Committee. On the province's side, there was Mr. Dinh Viet Hong - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, leaders of Nghe An Red Cross Society, and relevant departments.

In the spirit of mutual love and support, "the strong help the weak", the Central Committee of the Vietnam Red Cross Society has allocated 200 million VND from the fund to support Nghe An province to overcome the consequences of the flood. In addition, Ha Nam province has mobilized all cadres and people to donate to support localities and people of the provinces affected by the flood to overcome difficulties, stabilize their lives and restore production.

During the recent flood, more than 8,000 households were flooded, 7 households had to be evacuated, concentrated in Hung Nguyen, Thanh Chuong, Yen Thanh, Nghi Loc districts and Vinh city,... More than 1,800 hectares of winter-spring rice, 8,000 hectares of corn and vegetables, and 66 hectares of concentrated fruit trees and annual crops were flooded. Nearly 9,400 livestock and poultry were swept away... The irrigation system was flooded, eroded, and severely damaged.
Initial damage is estimated at about 290 billion VND.
