Reporter: Why the Fan ClubLam River Nghe AnThe Southern region chose the 17th round match of V-League 2024/25 at Thong Nhat Stadium to organize the biggest cheering event ever?
Mr. Truong Thanh Tung:The match between Ho Chi Minh City Club and SLNA took place on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and the reunification of the country. This is a sacred moment, so the Association wants to join the atmosphere of the whole country, at the same time sending a message about the love for the homeland and country of the Nghe people in particular and the Vietnamese people in general.

Love for the Fatherland is the most sacred feeling. Through this cheering activity, we hope to spread the spirit of patriotism and love for the homeland to the youth. Moreover, the match coincides with the Hung Kings' Commemoration Day holiday, which is an opportunity for Nghe people far from home to meet, exchange and strengthen solidarity.
Reporter:What methods has the Association implemented to call on SLNA fans to come to Thong Nhat Stadium to cheer?
Mr. Truong Thanh Tung:About two weeks before the match, the Executive Committee of the Association has stepped up propaganda through newspapers, social networks and through fellow countrymen associations in Binh Duong, Dong Nai, Ho Chi Minh City - where many Nghe An people live. Up to now, almost all SLNA fans in the Southern region have been informed about the time and location of the match.
Reporter:How did the association prepare to make the cheering event grand, meaningful and memorable?
Mr. Truong Thanh Tung:About two months ago, we came up with the idea and developed a detailed plan. Members actively contributed funds to implement the program.
In addition to thousands of national flags and SLNA flags, for the first time the Association printed hundreds of photos of Uncle Ho and General Vo Nguyen Giap to distribute to each fan cheering during the match. In particular, there will be a large banner (40m²) with the words "Welcome 50 years of national reunification" hanging in the middle of the D stand - where SLNA fans gather.
Reporter:How did the association develop a specific scenario for the cheering session?
Mr. Truong Thanh Tung:With over 20 years of operation, the Association has a lot of experience cheering on the stands. We established a logistics team of about 50 people to support the audience.
During the match, there will be a coordinator leading the singing, slogans, and regulating activities such as shouting, clapping, hanging banners, etc. to create a vibrant atmosphere and maintain solidarity in the stands.

Reporter:Despite their recent good performance, SLNA is still in the danger zone. How meaningful is the support of the audience to the team?
Mr. Truong Thanh Tung:In football, the audience is an important spiritual factor. In this match, we want to inspire and create excitement for the players. When playing away, having the support of Nghe An fans will help the players feel more confident.
This is a “6-point” match for SLNA, so the role of the fans is very important. We hope that through enthusiastic cheering, the team will achieve good results and escape the danger zone on the V-League rankings.
Reporter:How many SLNA fans are expected to come to Thong Nhat Stadium to cheer?
Mr. Truong Thanh Tung:SLNA fans will be seated in stand D. It is expected that about 3,000 people will fill this stand. Although the team is still at the bottom of the table, recently, fans have felt the return of Nghe An football identity.
I believe that with enthusiastic cheering, SLNA will have more motivation to play their best and achieve the goal of staying in the league this season.
