Association of Former Youth Volunteers supports social security work with more than 13 billion VND
(Baonghean.vn) - On January 10, the Executive Committee of the Association of Former Youth Volunteers of Nghe An province held a conference to review the association's work in 2022 and deploy tasks for 2023.
The Provincial Youth Volunteer Association currently has nearly 17,400 members, operating in 380 grassroots chapters. Along with implementing the Resolution of the 4th Provincial Youth Volunteer Association Congress, the associations at all levels have focused on directing the work of building the association's organization, coordinating with functional agencies to advise the Party Committee and local authorities on mechanisms and policies to facilitate the association's activities.

During the year, nearly 900 youth volunteers received benefits and policies, and the movement "For the sake of comradeship" was effectively implemented. The Association took care of social security work; in which, it supported Tet for the poor and overcame the consequences of natural disasters with over 7.2 billion VND; supported the construction and repair of 29 houses, with a total cost of 838 million VND. In 2022, the total funding for social security work in the province was over 13 billion VND.

The movement to build the "Comradely Love" Fund is truly effective and meaningful, contributing to socio-economic development, hunger eradication and poverty reduction. Many members in districts, cities and towns have been supported with loans for production, economic model development and poverty reduction.
In 2023, the association strives to achieve over 70% of the association levels performing well and excellently, with no weak association organizations; continue to innovate and improve the quality of association activities; strengthen propaganda and education on traditions and political tasks; promote the role of historical witnesses advising on resolving regimes and policies for former Youth Volunteers; advise and perform well the role of member organizations of the Vietnam Fatherland Front...

On this occasion, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Volunteers Association awarded Certificates of Merit to the Provincial Veterans Association, 10 grassroots associations and 25 individuals. Bac A Commercial Joint Stock Bank, "Vietnamese Stature" Fund, and TH Group presented 50 million VND to the Nghe An Veterans Association./.
