Nghe An Veterans Association receives Third Class Labor Medal
(Baonghean.vn) – On the morning of August 21, the Nghe An Association of Former Youth Volunteers held a ceremony to receive the Third Class Labor Medal and summarize emulation work, celebrating the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the Nghe An Association of Former Youth Volunteers (2005-2015).
Attending the ceremony were comrade Nguyen Anh Lien - Chairman of the Vietnam Association of Former Youth Volunteers; members of the Provincial Standing Committee: Le Xuan Dai - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Ho Phuc Hop - Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Committee; representatives of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province, the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, the Department of Transport, the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs... and many former Youth Volunteers from districts, cities and towns in the province.

Nghe An Veterans Association was established on July 12, 2005. After many initial difficulties, up to now, there have been 20 district associations with 22,900 members developing evenly and sustainably, contributing positively to the socio-economic development of the locality, recognized and highly appreciated by Party committees and authorities at all levels.
Over the past 10 years, the highlight of the activities of the Nghe An Veterans Association has been action programs to show gratitude to comrades. Currently, the provincial association's fund for comrades is over 10 billion VND. From this fund, the association at all levels regularly organizes activities to revisit old battlefields, visit and help families of former Youth Volunteers in difficult circumstances... At the same time, the Association has actively called for socialized resources to sponsor and build 200 gratitude houses with a total amount of over 7 billion VND; donated 220 savings books with a total amount of over 900 million VND; provided 500 breeding cows for poor former Youth Volunteers to raise...

Promoting the brave and resilient qualities of the Youth Volunteer Force, the former Youth Volunteers, when returning to normal life, have become typical examples of progress in economic development and building prosperous and happy families. In addition, the provincial association has paid attention to the implementation of the state's policies for former Youth Volunteers, with nearly 67% of former Youth Volunteers in the province currently enjoying the policies.

On this occasion, authorized by the President, comrade Le Xuan Dai presented the noble award: Third Class Labor Medal to the Nghe An Association of Former Youth Volunteers, recognizing the outstanding achievements in the past time.
At the same time, the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province presented the Provincial Association of Former Youth Volunteers with a banner bearing the words: "Nghe An Youth Volunteers promote heroic traditions, build a strong association". The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee presented the Emulation Flag to the Nghe An Association of Former Youth Volunteers for their excellent performance and leading the emulation movement in recent times.
