Talks between the Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province and the Lao Front for National Construction of Bolikhamxay province

On the afternoon of September 23, the Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province and the delegation of the Lao Front for National Construction of Bolikhamxay province held a meeting to report on the situation of activities and exchange experiences in front work.

Attending the meeting were comrades: Nguyen Xuan Son - Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission, Le Xuan Dai, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, and representatives of the Ethnic Committee, Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, and Department of Foreign Affairs.

The Nghe An Provincial Fatherland Front Committee has reported the general situation of ethnic groups on the Vietnam-Laos border, the economic, cultural and social situation of the province in the first 6 months of 2011 and the work of mobilizing ethnic minorities of the Nghe An Provincial Fatherland Front Committee. Accordingly, the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee has coordinated to disseminate the contents of ethnic work in the Resolution of the 11th National Congress of the Party Central Committee in the Fatherland Front system at all levels and prestigious people in ethnic minorities, in order to unify the common perception of policies and guidelines, ensure the rights of equality, solidarity, respect, mutual assistance and progress among ethnic groups; Mobilize ethnic minorities to well implement the socio-economic programs of the Government and the grassroots such as: Resolution 30a, Program 135 phase III...

The Lao Front for National Construction of Bolikhamxay province reported on the economic, cultural, social and religious situation of the province in 2010, the activities and organization of the Lao Front for National Construction of Bolikhamxay province and requested the Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province to help and exchange experiences in many fields in the coming time.

The two delegations also discussed ways to resolve issues related to ethnic minorities, religion, illegal immigration of people in border areas between the two provinces... in front work.

Speaking at the meeting, Comrade Nguyen Xuan Son - Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission and Comrade Le Xuan Dai - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee expressed their joy at the achievements that Bolikhamxay province has achieved and shared the difficulties that the neighboring province is facing. They also highly agreed that the Fronts of Nghe An (Vietnam) and Bolikhamxay (Laos) should organize annual meetings to exchange information and experience in front work and solve common problems, contributing to building a peaceful and developed border.

Previously, on the morning of September 23, the delegation of the Lao Front for National Construction in Bolikhamxay province, Laos, led by Comrade Po-xong-xia Tu-zong-hua - Member of the Lao Front for National Construction, Vice Chairman of the Lao Front for National Construction in Bolikhamxay province, visited the Kim Lien relic site in Nam Dan district. Here, the delegation offered incense and flowers at the memorial house of President Ho Chi Minh, visited his paternal and maternal hometowns, listened to an introduction about the family and childhood of President Ho Chi Minh and visited the mausoleum of Mrs. Hoang Thi Loan - President Ho Chi Minh's mother in Dong Tranh mountain, Nam Giang commune, Nam Dan district.
