Art performance in response to the Month of Action against Drugs

(Baonghean.vn) - On the night of June 24, the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs coordinated with the Center for Social Labor Education I to organize an art performance in response to the Month of Action for Drug Prevention and Control.

Nghe An is one of the key and complicated areas for drugs. As of May 2015, the whole province had 7,292 drug addicts with management records. Recently, the number of addicts using opium and heroin has decreased, the number of addicts using synthetic drugs and methamphetamine has increased, and the age is getting younger. The whole province has 8 centers with the function of drug addiction treatment and post-treatment management with more than 1,700 students. Of which, there are 7 centers for social labor education and 1 center for post-treatment drug management.

At the festival, there were 8 participating units with 24 singing, dancing and short skits with rich content, vividly reflecting the content of drug prevention and control in general and drug rehabilitation in particular. Many works were invested elaborately and creatively in both content and form of expression, bringing viewers different emotional sediments, but also concerns and thoughts about drug addicts with the difficult and arduous process of drug rehabilitation as well as the hearts of the staff at the Centers, the attention of the community and society.

"Youth Volunteers" performance - Phuc Son Social Labor Education Center

The cultural exchange night is a message to drug addicts and the public about the harmful effects of drugs, the law on drug prevention, and to encourage those who have made mistakes to try to quit their addiction so they can return and reintegrate into the community soon.
