The National Assembly's Ethnic Council supervises the Poverty Reduction Support Program in Que Phong.
(Baonghean.vn) - This afternoon (February 13), the delegation of the 13th National Assembly's Ethnic Council, led by Ms. Trieu Thi Nai - Vice Chairwoman of the Ethnic Council, had a meeting to supervise the implementation and results of the Program to support the poor quickly and sustainably according to Resolution 30a of the Government in Tri Le commune, Que Phong district, Nghe An. Also attending were representatives of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, the Mountainous Ethnic Committee, and the Provincial Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs.

Before the working session, the Delegation visited the passion fruit growing model of Mrs. Ha Thi Kim and Mrs. Lo Thi Bich's household in Yen Son village. This is one of the passion fruit growing models that brings high economic efficiency. Each year, it brings in an income of 12 to 13 million VND and helps families escape poverty sustainably. Next, the Delegation visited Mrs. Ha Thi Hoa's family, one of the households in Tri Le commune that received support to remove dilapidated thatched houses under Project 167 and the project to build a 2-storey, 8-room boarding house at Tri Le Secondary School. In addition, the Delegation also visited the wet rice growing model of the Mong people in the Minh Chau new economic zone.
The delegation worked with the leaders of Tri Le commune and visited the passion fruit growing model in the commune.
Working with the leaders of Tri Le commune, the delegation listened to reports on the socio-economic development, national defense and security situation and the implementation of Program 30a in the area. Since the implementation of Program 30a, Tri Le commune has had 468 households receiving loans with a total amount of more than 3 billion 200 million VND without interest for the first two years to develop the economy and eliminate dilapidated thatched houses. In addition, the commune was also supported with over 1,540 kg of fish and black chicken breeds; 320 kg of hybrid rice seeds, 21 tons of NPK fertilizer to build pilot models of livestock and crop cultivation.
Speaking at the meeting, Comrade Trieu Thi Nai - Vice President of the National Council acknowledged and highly appreciated the effective implementation of the Government's Program 30a in Tri Le commune. Regarding the commune's recommendations and proposals such as: Supporting professional training for commune and village officials; helping children go abroad to work; increasing support for reclamation and restoration of rice fields, the National Assembly's National Council Delegation will consider and give opinions in the upcoming National Assembly session.
