Provincial Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs deploys tasks in 2015

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of December 18, the Provincial Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs held the 3rd Executive Committee meeting to summarize the work of 2014 and discuss the direction and tasks of 2015.Attending the event were comrade Ho Phuc Hop - Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission.

The Standing Committee of the Association presented flowers to congratulate comrade Ho Phuc Hop on being elected to the Provincial Party Standing Committee.

Overview of the Conference

Established on June 18, 2014, up to now, the Provincial Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs has gathered 198 members. The Association has mobilized a fund of 1.4 billion VND, 100 sets of clothes worth 15 million VND and 8 wheelchairs worth 80 million VND. Along with that, the Association has implemented many activities such as: supporting the construction of a house for martyr Truong Thi Duyet's mother in Quynh Thang commune (Quynh Luu); coordinating with small and medium enterprises in Quy Hop district to build a martyrs' monument in Chau Hong commune; coordinating with the Provincial Buddhist Executive Committee to organize 2 grand ceremonies to pray for heroic martyrs on the occasion of the War Invalids and Martyrs' Day on July 27; donating 5 wheelchairs, 32 savings accounts and 8 gifts to martyrs' families.

In 2015, the Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs promoted the establishment of associations in districts, cities and towns; increased membership by 10-20% compared to 2014; coordinated with the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs to review martyrs' relatives in difficult circumstances; called on organizations and individuals to contribute to the fund to reach 2-2.5 billion VND; donated 10-13 gratitude houses, 80-100 savings books, 90-100 gifts to families of martyrs' relatives; coordinated with a number of businesses to renovate a number of martyrs' cemeteries in the province...

Speaking at the Conference, comrade Ho Phuc Hop highly appreciated the results that the Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs has achieved in the past time, and at the same time requested the Executive Committee of the Association to promote propaganda for all levels of people to clearly understand the principles, purposes and activities of the Association, creating favorable conditions for the development of branches, members and funds; strengthening coordination with departments, branches and the Vietnam Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs to improve the effectiveness of activities. On this occasion, the Executive Committee of the Association also approved the decision to add 7 comrades to the Executive Committee of the Association, 2 comrades to the Standing Committee of the Association.
