Quy Hop Association for the Promotion of Education celebrates the 15th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Association for the Promotion of Education

(Baonghean) -On September 29, the Quy Hop District Association for Promotion of Education held a seminar to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam Association for Promotion of Education (October 2, 1996 - October 2, 2011).

Attending the event were leaders of the District Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Fatherland Front Committee of Quy Hop District (Nghe An Province); representatives of the Education Promotion Association of 21 communes and towns, and representatives of the Education Promotion Boards of agencies, schools, businesses, hamlets, residential areas, and typical families promoting education.

Since its establishment (2002) up to now, the Quy Hop District Learning Promotion Association has achieved good results, 100% of communes and towns have established learning promotion associations and operated effectively, with 279 branches in residential blocks and hamlets; 70 learning promotion committees in agencies, schools and 79 learning promotion committees in clans. Currently, the Quy Hop Learning Promotion Association has 20,291 members of all ages, accounting for 17.2% of the district's population. The total mobilized fund is over 1.5 billion VND, and has granted 3,870 scholarships and learning promotion of all kinds.

Also at the seminar, the District Association for the Promotion of Education commended a number of collectives, individuals, and families promoting education in communes, agencies, businesses, schools, and hamlets throughout the district that have achieved many good results in recent times.
