ASEM 9 Conference will be held in Laos

The Lao tourism industry will also organize visits to famous landmarks of the country.

The Lao Ministry of Information, Culture and Tourism is actively preparing propaganda and service activities for the ASEM9 Conference (9th Asia-Europe Meeting) which will take place in Laos in early November this year.

Lao Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism Bosengkham Vongdara said that the ministry has guided relevant departments in information, propaganda and promotion. The ministry has also sent many media staff to study and receive training courses at home and abroad; upgraded the equipment of the Press Center to serve the Conference. Many hotels have also been upgraded to serve international delegations. In particular, a handicraft fair, including diverse products such as: jewelry, textiles, wooden furniture, ceramics and other traditional Lao products.

Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism Bosengkham Vongdara added that the tourism industry will organize tours to famous landmarks of Laos such as: World Heritage sites in Luang Prabang, Vat Phou, Champassak, and many other famous landmarks of Laos./.
