Conference of Collaborators of Nghe An Veterans Newsletter

Attending the conference were comrades in the Standing Committee, Executive Committee, Party Delegation, and agencies of the Provincial Veterans Association; comrades representing the Standing Committee of the Veterans Association of districts and cities, and 30 excellent collaborators representing more than 200 collaborators of the Nghe An Veterans Newsletter in the whole province.

30 outstanding collaborators representing more than 200 collaborators across the province attended the Conference.

Since its inception, the Nghe An Veterans Association has paid attention to and focused on propaganda and education work to promote the nature and tradition of "Uncle Ho's soldiers", and to set an example in carrying out the political tasks of the Association and localities in the renovation period. The association's propaganda work has been carried out extensively in many forms, including the publication of the Veterans Newsletter. To improve the quality and form of propaganda, the Newsletter has opened nearly 20 sections and topics; including major sections with a consistent nature such as "studying and following the moral example of Ho Chi Minh"; many small sections such as: "Resemblances of the resistance war in Military Region IV", "Towards the sea and islands of the Fatherland", "Exchange together", "Observation corner"... In 12 issues (from June 2013 to June 2015), the Newsletter has published 82,000 copies; News, articles and photos are diverse and rich, and the quality is increasingly improved.

Major General Nguyen Phong Phu - Chairman of the Nghe An Veterans Association: The newsletter has made an important contribution to the implementation of the Association's political tasks.

Over 24 years of operation, the Nghe An Veterans Newsletter has been used mainly in the activities of the Association organizations and the regular activities of all levels of the Association. Based on the content of the Newsletters and the actual situation of the base, leaders of the Association at all levels have oriented the information, propaganda, raising awareness and action in their Association. Practical and attractive issues have been studied and discussed more. Many places have maintained order, creating a good effect, not only for cadres and members but also in the community, contributing to the propaganda of the Party's guidelines and policies. The Newsletter has made an important contribution to the completion of the political tasks of the Provincial Veterans Association.

To promote the achieved results and overcome the limitations, the Editorial Board of the Newsletter has received the contributions of the collaborators and determined the content and key tasks in the coming time: Continue to research and innovate the content and form of the Newsletter to increase the liveliness and appeal; increase articles on educating the younger generation, protecting the sovereignty of seas and islands, fighting corruption, social evils, etc. Strive to expand the team of collaborators in all regions, areas, and fields of the Association's activities.

On this occasion, the Provincial Veterans Association awarded certificates of merit to 12 outstanding collaborators who have made many positive contributions to building the Newsletter over the past 2 years.
