(Baonghean.vn) -On the morning of June 6, the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department and the Department of Information and Communications held a regular press conference for May. Comrade Le Ba Hung - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department and Comrade Ho Quang Thanh - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Director of the Department of Information and Communications chaired the conference. Overview of the conference.

In May, the press agencies in the province have implemented the propaganda direction correctly; actively and proactively built programs, columns, and propagated events taking place in the province. The press agencies had many news and articles about political events in May such as the Dien Bien Phu Victory, the anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday; Sen village festival; Cua Lo tourism, especially the incident of China illegally placing the Haiyang 981 drilling rig in Vietnam's continental shelf and exclusive economic zone; affirmed Vietnam's sovereignty and territorial integrity; encouraged the spirit of soldiers on duty in the East Sea; at the same time, propagated to raise vigilance for people to avoid being taken advantage of by bad guys, contributing to stabilizing security and order in the province.

In addition, press agencies have actively promoted the emulation atmosphere for building new rural areas, the work of clearing the National Highway 1A section passing through Nghe An, administrative reform, speeding up the progress of projects, increasing investment attraction, cultural and artistic activities, promoting tourism potential, and promoting the 2014 graduation exam...

In June, press agencies continued to propagate the implementation of Resolution 4 of the Central Committee (11th tenure) in conjunction with the implementation of Directive 03 of the Politburo on "promoting the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's moral example", Directive 07/CT-TTg of the Prime Minister "on promoting the prevention and combat of negativity in the management of work, civil servants and emulation and rewards", Directive 17-CT/TU of the Provincial Party Standing Committee on "Strengthening discipline and administrative discipline in agencies and units in the province"; propagating the results of the implementation of socio-economic development tasks in the first 6 months of 2014; propagating events and holidays in June, recruitment work and exams in 2014 in the province; propagating measures to prevent forest fires and diseases arising in the hot season...

In his concluding remarks at the conference, Comrade Le Ba Hung highly appreciated the information and propaganda work of press agencies, especially Nghe An Newspaper, Nghe An Radio and Television Station, and Nghe An Labor Newspaper; the articles reflecting the working trips of provincial leaders in the West. However, there were still some articles with inaccurate information, suggesting that journalists should learn from their experiences. Comrade Le Ba Hung also oriented the propaganda tasks in June, especially propaganda about the situation in the East Sea in the coming time.

Previously at the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Huu Nhi - Chairman of Nghe An Farmers' Association announced the plan to organize the 2014 Agricultural and Trade Fair and Exhibition for the provinces in the North Central region. Accordingly, the fair and exhibition will take place from June 19 to 26, at the central park of Vinh City.
