Military-political conference to deploy border work in 2013
(Baonghean.vn) -On January 14, Nghe An Border Guard Command held a military-political conference to summarize border work in 2012 and deploy border work tasks in 2013.
Over the past year, the units have actively and proactively grasped the situation, advised all levels to handle and resolve newly arising issues, avoiding hot spots and complicated areas, contributing significantly to maintaining the stability of security and order and social order in the border areas of Nghe An province.
During the year, successfully fought 5 special projects, dozens of professional plans, discovered and arrested 60 cases/69 subjects buying, selling, and storing illegal drugs. Also during the year, dozens of commercial fraud cases were handled; discovered and investigated 259 cases/511 subjects/108 other means of law violation, handled 206 cases/429 subjects for administrative violations, and paid a fine of 612,550,000 VND to the State Treasury. Actively participated in building and consolidating political bases, developing economy, culture, society, eliminating hunger and reducing poverty in border and coastal areas, building an increasingly strong people's border defense posture. With the above outstanding achievements, the provincial Border Guard force was awarded the excellent emulation flag by the Prime Minister.

In 2013, the key tasks are: Focus on innovation, improving the quality and effectiveness of working measures, firmly protecting the sovereignty, security and order, and social order in border areas; Proactively grasp and handle the situation well; effectively combat and prevent all plots, methods and tricks of the enemy, reactionaries and all types of criminals. Participate in building and consolidating political bases, effectively developing the economy, culture and society in border areas; build a peaceful and friendly border, cooperate with Laos and effectively carry out border foreign affairs.
On this occasion, the units signed an emulation agreement to achieve many achievements in performing tasks in 2013; many outstanding collectives and individuals in the emulation movement to win in 2012 were awarded.
