Military science information conference of northern units

(Baonghean.vn) -The Military Science Information Center of the Ministry of National Defense has just coordinated with the Military Region 4 Command to organize a Military Science Information Conference for units in the North. Major General Nguyen Kim Lam, Director of the Military Science Information Center of the Ministry of National Defense chaired the conference; Major General Nguyen Tan Cuong, Deputy Commander and Chief of Staff of Military Region 4 attended and spoke at the conference. Also attending were representatives of leaders and commanders of agencies, units and senior officers of agencies of Military Region 4; key military science information officers, heads of military science departments (offices) of agencies and units in the North and representatives of some military science information agencies in the South.

With the function of being the leading State management agency for scientific and military information work in the Vietnam People's Army, in recent times, the Scientific and Military Information Center has performed well its functions and tasks of advising the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense on scientific and military information work; well organized scientific and military information activities to serve leadership, command, management, research, production, training, and combat readiness at strategic and campaign levels; participated in disseminating scientific and military achievements and knowledge at home and abroad. In particular, the Information Center has focused many resources, promoted the application of information technology and communications in scientific and military information activities, making an important contribution to the transfer of scientific and military information resources of agencies and units in the entire army and providing official information of the Ministry of National Defense on the Internet.

At the conference, delegates were quickly informed about the world and regional situation, specialized information on the development and modernization trends of military weapons and equipment of countries in the world and region; exchanged and shared new information at home and abroad, information guiding and directing industry activities; exchanged and shared operational experiences between Military Science information agencies in the entire army.
