National conference to deploy regulations on social supervision and criticism

(Baonghean.vn) -On the morning of January 11, the Central Committee for Mass Mobilization held a national conference to disseminate and implement Decision No. 217/QD-T.U on the Regulations on supervision and social criticism of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations; Decision No. 218/QD-T.U on the Regulations on the participation of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, socio-political organizations and people in giving opinions on Party and government building.

Comrade Ha Thi Khiet - Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Committee for Mass Mobilization chaired the conference. Speaking at the conference, comrade Ha Thi Khiet emphasized the important role of social supervision and criticism of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations in the cause of our Party; promoting the people's mastery to build a clean and strong Party, a rule-of-law State of the people, for the people. The issue of social supervision and criticism has always been a matter of concern for our Party's leadership and direction and has been concretized in the Party's Resolutions to promote democracy and people's mastery, improve the Party's capacity and fighting strength, the effectiveness and efficiency of State management as well as build a strong political system.

The contents of Decision No. 217/QD-T.U on the Regulations on social supervision and criticism of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations; Decision No. 218/QD-T.U on the Regulations on the Vietnam Fatherland Front, socio-political organizations and people participating in giving opinions on Party building and government building are issues that have been inherited and supplemented in the Party's leadership process. Based on the thorough understanding and implementation at this national conference, it is recommended that delegates attending the conference focus their time, intelligence, democratic, sincere and responsible discussions, and at the same time pay attention to leadership so that the regulations on social supervision and criticism of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations are thoroughly understood and implemented quickly and effectively at all levels, branches, agencies and units nationwide, having a positive impact on the political and social life and the people.

At the conference, delegates fully grasped the purpose, nature, principles and subjects of social supervision and criticism. Social supervision and criticism are popular, socialist democratic, constructive, scientific and practical. The supervision activities of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations focus on the implementation of the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws (except for matters of national secrets) by agencies, organizations and individuals. Social criticism activities focus on the necessity and urgency of the draft document; the conformity of the draft document with the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws, and the practice of the unit and locality; the correctness, scientificity, conformity with social life and feasibility of the draft document; forecasting the political, economic, cultural, social, defense - security and foreign affairs impacts and effectiveness of the draft document. The Vietnam Fatherland Front, socio-political organizations and the people participate in giving opinions on Party building and government building to continue institutionalizing and concretizing the mechanism: Party leadership, State management, people mastery.
