Conference summarizing 10 years of training military cadres of communes and wards

(Baonghean.vn) -On the morning of May 17, the Provincial People's Committee held a conference to summarize 10 years of training military officers for military commands of communes, wards and towns from 2002 to 2012.

Attending the conference were Colonel Tran Van Lam - Representative of the Department of Militia and Self-Defense, Ministry of National Defense; leaders of Military Region 4 and representatives of departments, branches and districts and cities. Comrades Nguyen Xuan Duong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Nguyen Sy Hoi - Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Commander of the Provincial Military Command chaired the conference.

After 10 years of training military officers of the Military Command of communes, wards and towns, the province has organized 5 courses for 481 comrades to study. Of these, 105 comrades are ethnic minorities; 385 comrades were trained in intermediate military training, 96 comrades in intermediate military training. After training, 346 comrades were awarded the rank of reserve officer. Currently, the province is continuing to organize training at the College, University and linking from intermediate to college level for students who are officers of the Military Command of communes, wards and towns in the area.

The province and localities have paid attention to the arrangement of cadres after training, with 461 comrades being assigned as Commanders and Deputy Commanders of Military Commands of communes, wards and towns. Of these, 24 comrades have been promoted to higher positions in the political system at the grassroots level. In general, the trained military cadres at the commune and ward levels have promoted their roles and tasks, performed well in national defense and military work, contributing to maintaining political security at the grassroots level.

Concluding the conference, Comrade Nguyen Xuan Duong - Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee highly appreciated the coordination between all levels, sectors and forces in training military officers of communes, wards and towns over the past 10 years. He noted that in the coming time, it is necessary to focus on doing better staff work to consolidate and increase the scope of training. It is necessary to further innovate training methods and training work to make military officers grasp the tasks of national defense and security and build an increasingly strong and comprehensive force.
