Online conference to deploy tax work for the last 6 months of the year

On July 19, chaired by General Director of the General Department of Taxation Bui Van Nam, the tax sector held an online conference with 63 provinces and cities to review tax tasks in the first 6 months of the year and deploy tasks and solutions for tax work in the last 6 months of 2013. Minister of Finance Dinh Tien Dung attended and directed.

(Baonghean.vn) -On July 19, chaired by General Director of the General Department of Taxation Bui Van Nam, the tax sector held an online conference with 63 provinces and cities to review tax tasks in the first 6 months of the year and deploy tasks and solutions for tax work in the last 6 months of 2013. Minister of Finance Dinh Tien Dung attended and directed.

In the first 6 months of 2013, the Tax Department carried out its tasks in the context of complicated developments in the world and regional economies. The domestic economy faced many difficulties, interest rates fell sharply but the ability of enterprises to access and absorb capital was low.

However, with the efforts of the entire sector, the tax work in the first 6 months of 2013 has achieved important results. On the one hand, tax authorities at all levels have diversified and promoted forms of propaganda, support and consultation to help organizations and individuals promptly implement new tax mechanisms and policies and quickly resolve arising problems; on the other hand, the entire sector has constantly innovated and improved the effectiveness of management measures; synchronously deployed solutions to prevent revenue loss and limit outstanding debts, in order to prevent and combat violations, improve taxpayer compliance, contribute to creating an equal production and business environment and ensure full and timely mobilization of resources for the state budget.

In Nghe An, the Tax Department's report assessing the implementation of tax tasks in the first 6 months of the year showed that: In the first 6 months, the tax department's revenue balance reached over 2.5 trillion VND, equal to 55% of the ordinance estimate, 51% of the People's Council estimate, up 18% over the same period, domestic revenue minus land use fees reached over 2.3 trillion VND, equal to 57% of the ordinance estimate and 54% of the People's Council estimate, up 24% over the same period in 2012. Revenues and taxes all increased over the same period. The results of registration, inspection, declaration, tax refund, internal inspection and examination work have made much progress.

As of May 31, 2013, the tax arrears in the area were VND823 billion, an increase of 32% compared to the same period in 2012. The reform and modernization of the tax sector according to Project 30/CP, the one-stop mechanism according to Decision 93/2007/QD-TTg were implemented synchronously and in accordance with regulations.

To carry out the key tasks of tax work in the last 6 months of 2013, Nghe An tax sector has proposed specific solutions: Complete the task of collecting state budget revenue according to the assigned targets. Promote solutions on administrative reform and modernize tax management. Continue to effectively implement Resolution 01/CP, Resolution 02/NQ-CP of the Government and Circular 16/TT-BTC, strengthen anti-corruption work, exploit the data information channel of tax agencies, consolidate and reorganize the apparatus of tax branches...

Participating in this online conference, the leaders of Nghe An Tax Department also made a number of specific recommendations to the General Department of Taxation to complete the task at the highest level.
