Sea and island propaganda conference
(Baonghean.vn) -This morning, January 26, 2013, the Cua Lo - Ben Thuy Port Border Guard Station coordinated with Cua Lo Town to organize a conference to propagate the sovereignty of sea and islands in 2013 for 120 delegates representing agencies, departments, branches, units and owners of offshore fishing vessels in Cua Lo Town.
At the conference, representatives of the Propaganda Department of the Cua Lo City Party Committee, the Nghe An Maritime Port Authority, the Department of Aquatic Resources Protection and the Border Guard informed about the current situation of the sea and islands, basic knowledge about the country's sovereignty and jurisdiction in the East Sea according to the 1982 United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea; Vietnam's Maritime Strategy to 2020; a number of legal documents on the maritime sector; a number of legal documents on the fisheries sector; the Agreement on the Delimitation of the Gulf of Tonkin, the Vietnam-China Fisheries Agreement, and related legal documents.
