The 15th Central Highlands Regional Party Newspaper Conference
(Baonghean) -With the theme “Local Party Newspapers with propaganda work on preserving and promoting indigenous identity”, the 15th Conference of Party Newspapers of provinces and cities in the Central Highlands region was held for 3 days (from November 19 to 21, 2009) in Pleiku city, Gia Lai province.

Attending the workshop were representatives of the Ministry of Culture, Information and Communications, Hanoi Moi and An Giang newspapers and 19 Party newspapers of provinces and cities in the Central and Central Highlands regions.
At the workshop, the presentations focused on promoting the role of indigenous culture, issues related to the conservation and preservation of this unique cultural feature of each region and locality, and at the same time exchanged experiences in propagating indigenous culture in each newspaper and highly agreed on the viewpoint of propaganda work to filter out the bad and bring out the good, eliminate what is no longer suitable, old-fashioned, backward and absorb the quintessence of human culture to enrich and diversify the identity of indigenous culture and Vietnamese culture.

With the discussion "Preserving and promoting cultural values in the period of national integration", Nghe An Newspaper has promoted the propaganda, management, preservation and promotion of cultural values in the province, in the region and the whole country by building specialized pages, topics, articles reflecting, exchanging, investigating the current state of degradation, or violations of the Law on Cultural Heritage, as well as acts of exploiting the values of cultural heritage to practice superstition... Thereby, to arouse pride in the homeland, contribute to restoring and promoting tangible and intangible cultural heritages, promote socialization in the management, preservation, restoration and promotion of the values of cultural heritage in the area, gradually bringing the Law on Heritage into life in an effective and practical way.
