On the morning of April 21, with the support of Vinh University, the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) and the Crisis Ecosystem Partnership Fund (CEPF), the Saola Conservation Action Group of the International Union for Conservation of Nature held its annual meeting and workshop to propose appropriate solutions for Saola conservation.
Saola is the world's most mysterious animal, first discovered in 1992 in Ha Tinh province. Although there have been many efforts and achieved some important results, the conservation of Saola species still faces many great challenges.
That is, forests and natural habitats continue to be degraded and fragmented, and illegal exploitation and trade of wildlife continues, especially of ungulates, including Saola.
