Vietnam Public Security Conference in the cause of resistance against America, saving the country

(Baonghean.vn) -On October 21, in Nghe An, the Ministry of Public Security organized a workshop on the topic of summarizing the history of the Vietnam People's Public Security (VPS) in the resistance war against the US to save the country (1954-1975).

Major General Do Van Thuyet, Deputy Head of the Steering Committee for the Summary of the History of the Vietnam People's Public Security Forces in the Resistance War against the US, for National Salvation, chaired the workshop. Also attending the workshop were representatives of the Public Security Leaders of 8 Northern provinces including Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Quang Binh, Thanh Hoa, Ninh Binh, Ha Nam, Thai Binh, and Nam Dinh.

At the workshop, representatives of the police of 8 provinces agreed on the objectives, tasks, scope and content of the research, the system of research methods proposed in the research outline; agreed on the structure and layout of 3 parts in the general outline of the Project including: "Overview of the history of the Vietnam People's Public Security in the cause of resistance against the US, saving the country 1954-1975"; "Characteristics, nature, victories and roles of the People's Public Security force in the fight against counter-revolutionaries and all kinds of crimes, protecting security and order during the period of resistance against the US, saving the country" and "Historical lessons"... The local police also presented papers, providing more information on the achievements of the People's Public Security force of their province during the period of resistance against the US, saving the country, which are important historical data contributing to the scientific work "Summary of the history of the Vietnam People's Public Security in the cause of resistance against the US, saving the country" that the Ministry of Public Security is implementing.

This is a project of profound political, social and humanistic significance, contributing to affirming the role and contribution of the Vietnam People's Public Security Forces in the cause of resistance against the US to save the country. "Thereby, strengthening education on historical traditions, political ideology, consolidating belief and pride in the traditions of the People's Public Security Forces, helping each police officer and soldier build a strong political stance, raise awareness of organization and discipline, practice revolutionary ethics, and be absolutely loyal to the Party, State and people"

The Steering Committee will continue to study comments and suggestions from local police on the content of the sections in the General Outline to edit, correct, and complete the detailed Outline of the main topic: Summary of the history of the Vietnam People's Police in the resistance war against the US, saving the country 1954-1975.
