(Baonghean.vn)-Today, February 18, Nghe An Family Planning Association organized a workshop to share experiences on "Enhancing access and quality of reproductive health care, focusing on safe motherhood, adolescent reproductive health, and implementation of reproductive rights" (abbreviated VNM7R2007).
Attending the conference were comrade Nguyen Thien Truong - Permanent Vice President of Vietnam Family Planning Association, Head of Project Management Board; comrade Nguyen Xuan Duong - Member of Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of Provincial People's Committee, representatives of provincial departments, branches and sectors and localities benefiting from the project.

in project implementation.
The VNM7R2007 project funded by the Luxembourg government started from 2007-2012, and was implemented in 14 communes and wards in the districts of Thanh Chuong, Anh Son, and Vinh City. After nearly 5 years of implementation, the project has achieved remarkable results, contributing to improving the quality of reproductive health care for all subjects. The rate of adolescents and young people accessing reproductive health care and sexual health services increased by 30%; more than 12,000 people accessed counseling services; the rate of men and women of childbearing age who know at least 3 contraceptive methods increased by 40% compared to the beginning; the rate of women receiving basic knowledge about avoiding HIV/AIDS infection increased by 30% compared to the beginning; a team of mobile service providers was trained in the project implementation areas; communication and propaganda teams were established in 10 mountainous communes; enhance the Association's capacity in carrying out project monitoring activities...
At the workshop, representatives of localities benefiting from the project presented papers, shared experiences, and made recommendations and proposals to effectively implement the project's objectives. The Provincial Family Planning Association also recommended that the government recognize the Association as a special association; continue to invest in new projects; and propose that the province replicate effective models that the project has brought about.
On this occasion, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Family Planning Association awarded Certificates of Merit to 8 groups and 8 individuals; the Provincial People's Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to 1 group and 2 individuals with outstanding achievements in the implementation of the VNM7R2007 project sponsored by the Luxembourg government.
