Scientific seminar "Comrade Le Hong Phong with the Vietnamese revolution and his homeland Nghe An"

(Baonghean.vn) -On the morning of September 4, 2012, in Vinh City, the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics and Public Administration, Nghe An Provincial Party Committee, and the Central Propaganda Department jointly organized a national scientific conference with the theme "Comrade Le Hong Phong with the Vietnamese revolution and his homeland Nghe An" to commemorate the 110th anniversary of the birth of General Secretary Le Hong Phong (September 6, 1902 - 2012).

Attending the conference, on the Central side were comrades: Dinh The Huynh - Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda Department, Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council; Ta Ngoc Tan - Party Central Committee member, Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics and Public Administration; Vuong Dinh Hue - Party Central Committee member, Minister of Finance; Nguyen The Ky - Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department; Le Xuan Vinh - Deputy Office of the Party Central Committee; leaders of Ha Tinh province. On the Nghe An side, there were comrades: Phan Dinh Trac - Party Central Committee member, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Tran Hong Chau - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Nguyen Xuan Duong - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; representatives of provincial-level departments and branches; scientists; representatives of the Le family; leaders of Hung Nguyen district, Hung Thong commune - the hometown of General Secretary Le Hong Phong.

Before that, the Organizing Committee of the Conference went to Kim Lien - Nam Dan to offer incense and flowers to pay tribute to Uncle Ho. The art program "Forever bright belief" about the revolutionary life of Le Hong Phong and Nguyen Thi Minh Khai, performed by artists and actors from the Center for Preservation and Promotion of Nghe An Folk Heritage opened this meaningful conference.

On behalf of Nghe An province, comrade Phan Dinh Trac - Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee delivered a speech, emphasizing that there have been many works and scientific seminars researching and learning about General Secretary Le Hong Phong, but they have not yet fully reflected his life, background and glorious career. This seminar has contributed to clarifying more, thereby further affirming the great contributions of comrade Le Hong Phong to the Vietnamese revolution and his homeland Nghe An.

The workshop had 50 presentations by leaders, scientists from the Central and local levels, especially comrade Do Muoi - Former General Secretary of the Party, with the article: "Comrade Le Hong Phong - Excellent General Secretary of the Party", and comrade To Huy Rua - Politburo member, Secretary of the Central Party, Head of the Central Organization Committee with the article: "Comrade Le Hong Phong and the work of Party building". The content of the presentations at the workshop focused on clarifying a number of issues about the life and career of General Secretary Le Hong Phong. The scientific reports all had the same opinion: Comrade Le Hong Phong was a revolutionary soldier who devoted his entire life to the revolutionary cause of the Party and the Nation. From the time he grew up until the moment of his heroic sacrifice in the hell on earth of Con Dao, comrade Le Hong Phong always put the interests of the revolution above his personal interests and family happiness.
