Workshop on linking tourism product development in the North Central provinces
(Baonghean.vn) -On the morning of October 24, in Vinh City, the General Department of Tourism - Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism coordinated with the Provincial People's Committee to organize a workshop on linking tourism product development in the North Central provinces.
Comrades: Nguyen Van Tuan - General Director of Vietnam National Administration of Tourism; Huynh Thanh Dien - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Cao Dang Vinh - Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism chaired the workshop. Also attending were representatives of leaders of 6 provinces of the North Central region, domestic and international travel companies such as Thailand, Laos, Cambodia.
In recent years, tourism activities in the North Central provinces have had many positive changes. The number of tourists to the North Central region is increasing. However, the efficiency of tourism exploitation has not yet reached its potential. One of the limitations is that the linkage in building tourism products between provinces in the region has not been closely coordinated, and has not yet built typical tourism products for the whole region. Determining linkage in building tourism products between localities to exploit the advantages of tourism resources, infrastructure and other resources to create highly competitive products, thereby attracting investors and tourists is one of the long-term strategies for tourism development in the North Central region.
