Workshop "Journalists protect themselves in their work"

(Baonghean.vn) -As part of the annual work program of the Emulation Cluster of the Local Journalists Association, on the morning of January 5, in Hue City, the Emulation Cluster of the Journalists Association of the North Central provinces organized a workshop with the theme: "Journalists protect themselves in their work" and summarized the emulation work in 2013, deployed tasks, and registered for emulation titles in 2014.

Attending the workshop were leaders of Thua Thien Hue province, leaders of the Journalists Association of 6 North Central provinces (Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Quang Binh, Quang Tri and Thua Thien - Hue) and reporters and journalists in the cluster.

At the workshop, 15 presentations delved into clarifying the following contents: Current status of awareness of ethics and responsibilities of journalists in their work, working conditions and environment in the locality in the current situation; difficulties and obstacles of practicing journalists and innovations of journalists in working in sensitive and complex fields... successful lessons; working style, experience, and success of reporters in their work; obstacles in the locality, solutions, and recommendations.

After the workshop, the leaders of the Journalists Association in the emulation cluster met and agreed to propose that the Vietnam Journalists Association award the 2013 Excellent Emulation Flag to the Journalists Association of Thua Thien - Hue Province and Thanh Hoa Province; and a Certificate of Merit to the Nghe An Journalists Association. At the conference, representatives of the Journalists Associations of the 6 North Central provinces signed the 2014 emulation agreement. At the same time, the 2014 Emulation Cluster Leader unit was handed over to the Journalists Association of Quang Tri Province.
