Workshop on revising Circular No. 08 on military-civilian medical cooperation activities

(Baonghean.vn)- On November 6, the Military Region 4 Command held a workshop on amending Joint Circular No. 08/2005/TTLT – BYT – BQP dated March 16, 2005 of the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of National Defense on “Combining Military and Civilian Medicine to contribute to improving the quality of health care and protecting the health of people and soldiers in the new period”, (referred to as Circular No. 08).

Attending the workshop on the local side were the Heads and Deputy Heads of the Military-Civilian Medical Boards of Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Quang Binh, Quang Tri and Thua Thien Hue provinces.

The workshop assessed the implementation results of the provisions of Circular No. 08 of the Military Medical Department of Military Region 4, in the organization of establishment and operation of military medical departments at all levels; the relationship of direction, management and operation of military medical departments at all levels; the organization of tasks, relationships and mechanisms to ensure military medical units and facilities in medical examination and treatment, overcoming the consequences of natural disasters and catastrophes, ensuring medical care for defensive operations, ensuring medical care for islands; Military medical departments at all levels in organizing the implementation of local military medical work.

Through the results of implementing Regulation No. 08 of the Military-Civilian Medical Board of Military Region 4, the workshop focused on discussing and presenting lessons learned, limitations, remaining issues, and contents that are suitable and inappropriate to the current practice of military-civilian medical cooperation. On that basis, it proposed amendments, supplements and specific solutions to serve the compilation of a new circular to replace Circular 08, in accordance with the current tasks of the Military Region 4.
