Competition for the best intergenerational self-help club leaders
(Baonghean.vn) -On the morning of February 25, at the Vietnam - Germany Children's Cultural House (Vinh City), the Nghe An Elderly Association in collaboration with the Provincial Vieo22 Project Management Board organized a contest for the best Intergenerational Self-Help Club Executive Boards. The contest was attended by representatives of provincial departments, agencies, and branches, the Vieo22 Project, and representatives of 80 clubs in the province.

The competition has 12 teams from 4 districts with projects: Hung Nguyen, Nam Dan, Nghi Loc, Thanh Chuong. Each district has 3 teams selected from the previous grassroots competition. The teams must go through 3 contents: Competition on knowledge of elderly health care, policies on the elderly, Law on the Elderly, etc.; competition on skills to manage a Club to implement projects to improve capacity, health, increase income, develop the economy, culture and arts, and talent competition.
The VIEO22 project was invested by an American non-governmental organization in 3 provinces of Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Thanh Hoa with the aim of helping to promote the rights of disadvantaged elderly people in Vietnam. In Nghe An, the project was implemented in 4 districts, each district established 20 clubs to implement the project; each club was allocated 100 million VND of the project. Up to now, after 4 years of implementing the project, there have been many clear results.

The competition aims to improve the effectiveness of the project, so that people can better understand the project's goals. In the competition on club management skills and talent, the teams performed self-written skits that were elaborately staged, attractive, and close to real life, so they had a high propaganda and educational effect, contributing to the success of the project.
