2012 Nghe An Tourism Industry Culinary Competition

(Baonghean.vn) -On the morning of October 24, at Media Hotel in Vinh City, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism in coordination with the Tourism Association and the Trade Union opened the 2012 Nghe An Tourism Culinary Arts Competition.

Identifying culinary culture not only plays a supporting role, serving the needs of tourists but has become a unique cultural feature of each region. At the same time, improving the quality of tourism services and discovering and honoring the talents of chefs, is an opportunity for officials, workers, especially chefs in the industry to exchange, learn and exchange experiences.




The organizers presented souvenir flags to participating units.



The contestants are urgently preparing the dishes.

The contest took place from October 24 to 25, 2012, attracting 22 hotels across the province to participate. During the 2 days, the hotel chefs will introduce 29 traditional and modern dishes such as: Grilled eel in bamboo tube, Fisherman caught in net, Bacon rolled with eggplant, Steamed shrimp with coconut water, Mandarin fish... Each unit participating in the contest must present from the origin, origin, formation and development to the processing process, typical ingredients, nutritional value... of the dishes.

The competition organizers will award the highest prize to the chef with the most beautifully presented and attractive dish; priority will be given to dishes with typical Nghe An characteristics./.
