(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of July 20, the General Department of Logistics coordinated with the Command of Military Region 4 to organize the opening ceremony of the "Regular, green, clean, beautiful barracks" contest for the full-strength Infantry Regiment in 2015 at Regiment 335 - Division 324, Military Region 4.

Attending the opening ceremony and directing the contest were Major General Nguyen Van Tuoi - Director of the Barracks Department, General Department of Logistics, Deputy Head of the Steering Committee, Head of the Contest Organizing Committee; Major General Nguyen Sy Hoi - Deputy Commander of Military Region 4.

The 2015 “Regular, green, clean, beautiful barracks” contest includes the following contents: Organizing and implementing reasonable and regular barracks planning, managing national defense land in accordance with the law; building and managing barracks in accordance with regulations; managing the use of electricity and water to ensure safety and savings; managing and using well barracks and household utensils to ensure uniformity in specifications; ensuring environmental sanitation for green, clean, beautiful barracks and promoting internal resources in building and ensuring barracks.

The Regiment has mobilized more than 751 working days of soldiers, worth nearly 12.3 billion VND; spent nearly 28.9 billion VND to build, renovate, and strengthen barracks and environmental landscapes, build cultural and sports facilities; installed a system of signs; planted more than 7,700 trees of all kinds, 3.5 m2 of flower gardens and ornamental plants to ensure the unit is always green, clean, and beautiful. In addition, the Regiment also saved 55,600 kWh of electricity and 100,000 m3 of water worth more than 2 billion VND.
