Tuong Duong District's Beautiful Buffalo and Cattle Contest and Fair

(Baonghean.vn) In order to raise awareness and promote the movement of commercial buffalo and cattle farming, making hybrid buffalo and cattle farming a movement, and at the same time create conditions for farmers to meet, interact, and exchange experiences and knowledge to get rich from buffalo and cattle farming, on October 25, Tuong Duong district organized the 3rd Buffalo and Cattle Competition and Fair. Sixty buffalo and cattle, selected from 15 out of 18 communes and towns in the entire district, participated.

The buffaloes and cattle participating in the competition must meet certain standards: they must be fat, healthy, capable of good breeding and reproduction, and selected from preliminary rounds at the commune or town level. Over the course of one day, the competing buffaloes and cattle undergo rounds of testing including weight, waist circumference, reproductive age, and plowing/pulling ability. Farmers then draw lots and provide answers to questions related to buffalo and cattle farming techniques that yield high economic returns.

At the end of the competition, the Organizing Committee awarded 2 first prizes, 4 second prizes, and 6 third prizes to the most beautiful buffaloes and cows at the competition.
