(Baonghean.vn) - Within the framework of the Hang Bua festival, the most anticipated competition is the Hang Bua beauty contest and the performance of traditional ethnic costumes. This competition always attracts a large number of tourists as well as local people because this is a contest to honor the beauty of Quy Chau girls.
On the evening of February 20, before entering the 2014 Hang Bua beauty contest, the organizing committee introduced to many visitors a traditional art form called Ta Nang Xoong (the Thai people's moon-welcoming custom). This year, the contest had 18 contestants participating. The contestants went through 2 rounds: performing traditional costumes and answering questions about knowledge and behavior. Thereby, the judges and organizing committee will select and award 1 first prize, 2 second prizes, 3 third prizes and 4 prizes for wearing traditional costumes. Contestant Lang Thi Hong Ly, from Chau Hanh commune, won the crown of this year's contest.
