(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of October 31, the opening ceremony of the 1st National Singing Contest for People with Disabilities - Central and Central Highlands Region took place in Vinh City. Attending the event were Mr. Nguyen Dinh Lieu - Former Deputy Minister of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, Chairman of the Association for the Protection of People with Disabilities and Orphans of Vietnam; Mr. Le Xuan Dai - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and representatives of departments and branches of Nghe An province.

In the Central and Central Highlands regions, the competition took place over two days, October 31 and November 1, with the participation of 117 disabled contestants from the provinces of Nghe An, Thanh Hoa, Ha Tinh, Quang Binh, Thua Thien Hue, Khanh Hoa, Da Nang city, Dak Lak, Kon Tum, Lam Dong. Some teams with the best performances will represent the Central and Central Highlands regions in Hanoi to participate in the Final Round.
