The 7th Red Cross Provincial Propaganda, First Aid and Emergency Competition

On the evening of August 10, in Vinh City, the 7th Nghe An Red Cross Propaganda and First Aid Competition 2023 took place.

The contest took place over two days (August 10 and 11) in Vinh city with the participation of 20 teams from the Red Cross Associations of 20 districts, cities and towns. The teams went through three rounds: learning about general knowledge about the association's work and the Red Cross movement; first aid and talent competitions.

For the first aid and emergency section, the teams will perform the following scenarios: First aid and emergency treatment for victims with respiratory and cardiac arrest and transport by stretcher; Closed fracture victims; Femur fracture victims; Soft tissue injuries victims. The first aid and victim transport scenarios provided by the organizers ensure professionalism, accuracy, and suitability for common situations during natural disasters and catastrophes.

The contest aims to celebrate the 44th anniversary of the establishment of the Nghe An Provincial Red Cross Society (August 14, 1979 - August 14, 2023), and at the same time, contribute to creating a competitive movement, training propaganda and first aid skills for the team of cadres, members and volunteers of the Society. The contest also creates a useful playground for members to have the opportunity to exchange, learn, share experiences of the Society's work, and improve the capacity of grassroots propaganda staff.
