Truong Son Traditional Soldiers Association hands over gratitude houses

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of September 9, 2014, the Traditional Association of Truong Son soldiers of Ho Chi Minh trail, Nghe An province, and Hung Nguyen district held a ceremony to hand over a house of gratitude to poor member Bui Van Tai, hamlet 11B, Hung Long commune.

In February 1975, Mr. Bui Van Tai joined the army to protect the Fatherland, and in 1983 he was discharged and returned to his hometown. Due to poor health, Mr. Tai's family life encountered many difficulties, the family lived in a temporary house, without the conditions to build a house.

Implementing the policy of eliminating temporary houses for poor members, the Traditional Association of Truong Son Soldiers on the Ho Chi Minh Trail in Nghe An province supported the family of member Bui Van Tai with 50 million VND (the amount was taken from Thien Tam Fund and support from Vingroup) to build a house.

According to the design, the house is built according to the standards of a level four house, 2 rooms, cement floor, with a usable area of ​​over 63m2, with a total estimated cost of 120 million VND. The project was undertaken by the Association of War Veterans in coordination with the Traditional Association of Truong Son soldiers of the Ho Chi Minh trail in Hung Long commune, completed in 56 days.

The house of gratitude also received contributions from the Party Committee, the government and the whole community such as: mass organizations contributed 32 working days, Truong Son members contributed 22 working days, monk Thich Dinh Tue of Phuc Thanh Pagoda - Hung Chau supported 3 million VND and 1 woolen blanket, nun Thich Dieu Nhan donated 5 million VND and brothers, children and relatives supported 60 million VND./.
