After concluding important activities within the framework of APEC in Da Nang, this afternoon (November 11), US President Donald Trump will depart for Hanoi for a state visit at the invitation of President Tran Dai Quang, from November 11-12.
As Dan Tri reported, on the afternoon of November 10, President Donald Trump arrived in Da Nang to attend the APEC Summit Week. That same afternoon, President Trump delivered an impressive speech at the APEC Business Summit.
In his speech, President Donald Trump emphasized: “The United States is ready to work with all leaders present here. We are ready to partner with all countries on the basis of equality, fairness, mutual respect and mutual benefit.”
Also on the afternoon of November 10, President Donald Trump and leaders of ASEAN economies and member countries attended the APEC Leaders' Dialogue and Business Advisory Council, chaired by President Tran Dai Quang.
Today (November 11), after the meeting of leaders of 21 APEC member economies, Mr. Donald Trump will leave Da Nang for Hanoi.

This is the first visit to Vietnam by US President Donald Trump. The visit takes place in his first year in office, demonstrating the importance of relations with Vietnam, creating a foundation to promote Vietnam - US relations in the coming time.
The visit takes place in the context of the Vietnam - US Comprehensive Partnership continuing to develop positively, especially after the successful official visit to the United States by Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc (May 29-31, 2017).
According to President Tran Dai Quang, President Donald Trump choosing Vietnam as his first destination among Southeast Asian countries is not only important for the relationship between the two countries but also a message about the US policy towards the Asia-Pacific region.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that Vietnam affirms its consistent foreign policy of independence, self-reliance, multilateralization, diversification, active and proactive international integration, in which it attaches importance to relations with the United States on the basis of respecting the political regime, independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of each country; promoting Vietnam-US relations to contribute to peace, cooperation and development in the region and the world.
Vietnam consistently attaches importance to developing relations with the United States, is ready to cooperate with the administration of President Donald Trump, promote the achieved results and continue to promote the Vietnam - US comprehensive partnership to further develop, on the basis of respecting each other's political institutions, development path, independence, sovereignty, territorial integrity, and non-interference in each other's internal affairs.
