The departure time from the US could be this morning or evening (January 9). However, the specific schedule depends on weather conditions.
Mr. Nguyen Ba Thanh was taken to Da Nang by a small medical aircraft after landing at two airports in the US and Japan for refueling. Professors and doctors specializing in myelodysplastic syndromes from the hospital where he is being treated will be taking Mr. Thanh back.
Currently, Mr. Nguyen Quoc Trieu and leading professors of the Central Health Care and Protection Board are ready to fly to Da Nang to participate in the consultation and treatment of Mr. Nguyen Ba Thanh.
"From now until noon, I will wait to contact Mr. Thanh's group by phone to plan to go to Da Nang. It only takes more than 1 hour from Hanoi to Da Nang, the plane ticket is still open and ready to fly in when there is information" - Mr. Trieu said.
