More than 100 senior Thai military officers become parliamentarians

According to Xinhua News Agency, more than 100 senior military officers have been selected by the head of Thailand's military government, General Prayuth Chan-ocha, to form a small majority in the country's 200-member National Assembly.

According to the list of 200 MPs appointed by General Prayuth, there are 105 military officers including both current and retired officers from the navy, army, and air force.

The appointed lawmakers are expected to begin working in the National Assembly from August 7./.
