Over 13 billion VND to preserve folk performing arts
The People's Committee of Bac Ninh province has just approved the Project "Preserving and promoting the value of traditional folk performing arts in the province in the period 2013-2020," with a total investment of more than 13 billion VND.

The project aims to preserve and pass on to future generations the unique traditional cultural values of traditional folk performing arts; raise awareness and pride among people in preserving and promoting the values of traditional folk performing arts; encourage the creation of cultural values, contributing to sustainable economic, cultural and social development.
Bac Ninh province will implement the Project through 4 sub-projects including collecting, researching, and inventorying traditional folk performing arts in the area; activities to honor artisans and organize the teaching of traditional folk performing arts; investing in building facilities and equipment to support traditional folk performing arts clubs; and promoting traditional folk performing arts. The Project will be implemented from 2014 to 2020.
Currently, Bac Ninh has a professional art troupe, the Bac Ninh Quan Ho Folk Song Theater, and more than 700 art troupes and mass art clubs, attracting over 20,000 non-professional actors and members to participate in activities.
This is an important resource contributing to preserving and promoting the value of cultural heritage, creating a joyful and healthy cultural living environment, contributing to enriching the spiritual life of the people./.
