More than 2,000 non-public teachers in Nghe An have been owed salaries since January.
(Baonghean.vn) - This is the common situation in all non-public schools in Nghe An province due to the impact of the Covid-19 epidemic.
Up to now, Nghe An province has 82 non-public schools from kindergarten to high school with 2,488 staff, teachers and workers.
According to the synthesis of the Nghe An Education Trade Union, due to the impact of the Covid-19 epidemic, schools have temporarily stopped teaching for nearly 3 months, but no non-public schools have had to close, temporarily close, or dissolve. In which, the most is Vinh city with 1,183/1,327 teachers, Cua Lo town 43/56 teachers, Dien Chau 84/84 teachers, Yen Thanh 17/17 teachers, Quynh Luu 21/21 teachers, Hoang Mai town 92/92 teachers, Nghia Dan 13/13 teachers, Thai Hoa town 39/39 teachers, Quy Hop 20/20 teachers, Con Cuong 14/14 teachers, Tan Ky 34/36 teachers, Do Luong 43/43 teachers and Nam Dan 59/59 teachers.
In addition, in the school blocks under the Department, 599/677 teachers have not been paid.
Through research at non-public schools, the reason why teachers have not received salaries for many months is because schools have been closed due to the impact of the Covid-19 epidemic. Meanwhile, the main source of income for non-public schools depends on student tuition, so for many months now, schools have had no source of income to pay salaries and some other policies.
