More than 2,700 young volunteers in Nghe An support the 2023 high school graduation exam

(Baonghean.vn) - More than 200 volunteer teams, with more than 2,700 Nghe An youths, have carried out many meaningful activities to provide maximum support to candidates at 70 exam sites across the province in this year's high school graduation exam.

Comrade Tran Linh - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, Chairman of the Provincial Student Association said that, implementing Plan No. 58-KH/TWHSV dated April 3, 2023 of the Central Secretariat of the Vietnam Student Association on organizing the "Exam Support" Program in 2023, the Standing Committee of Nghe An Provincial Youth Union has developed a Plan to organize the "Exam Support" Program in 2023.

Of which, for the high school graduation exam, the youth of the whole province established 210 volunteer teams, with more than 2,700 union members and youths participating in supporting candidates and their families at 70 exam sites across the province.

The volunteer team is divided into 2 main stages: Before the exam takes place and during the exam (3 days from June 28 to 30, of which June 30 is the reserve day).

Before the exam took place, the Youth Union branches in the whole province proactively reviewed and developed support plans for students in difficult circumstances in remote, isolated, border areas, orphaned students, disabled students, poor students overcoming difficulties, poor households, near-poor households, etc. to develop appropriate support plans.

The Provincial Youth Union Standing Committee and the Provincial Student Association Secretariat have provided more than 1,000 online learning accounts for students across the province; organized models such as "Green Shirt Tutor", "1 young teacher, young lecturer, student supporting 1 candidate"...

Before the exam took place, the Provincial Youth Union and Provincial Student Association mobilized resources to get nearly 850 water tanks and transferred them to the Youth Union bases to distribute for free at the exam sites.

At the same time, the Youth Union organizations have also mobilized social resources to create resources to support the "Support for the exam season" campaign. Typically, Thanh Chuong District Youth Union mobilized 50 cartons of milk, 300 water tanks, 300 kilograms of sugarcane, with a total value of 25 million VND; Youth Union organizations in Quynh Luu district called for more than 10,000 bottles of mineral water and various soft drinks, 2,000 paper fans, 1,000 cool towels, 2,000 pens and erasers to serve candidates during the exam days...

For support activities during the exam, volunteer teams will coordinate with the authorities, medical facilities, and testing locations to review and grasp information about the situation of candidates in the locality and develop proactive plans to handle unusual incidents related to weather, accidents, health, etc. of candidates.

Promoting the strengths in the exam support activities of Nghe An youth in recent years, the Youth Union will continue to carry out free pick-up and drop-off activities for candidates in special circumstances, remote areas, disabled candidates... At the same time, organize volunteer teams to guide and direct traffic to ensure traffic safety at high-traffic high school graduation exam sites in 2023.

These activities contribute significantly to coordinating with agencies, departments and branches across the province to successfully implement the 2023 high school graduation exam.
