More than 26.5 billion VND in the movement "Nghe An Tet to encourage learning"

(Baonghean.vn) - In the first two months of 2012, implementing the 9th "Nghe An Education Promotion Tet" movement, all levels of education promotion associations in the province mobilized more than 26.5 billion VND into the Education Promotion Fund.

Of which, the highest amount is for education promotion at commune, block, and hamlet levels, reaching 8 billion VND, and clan levels over 12 billion VND. Districts with high mobilization levels (average per population) are: Tuong Duong 25.8 million VND, Anh Son 13.6 million VND; Yen Thanh, Nam Dan, and Nghi Loc from 10.6 to 12 million VND.

During the recent Lunar New Year, the Association for Promoting Education at all levels in Nghe An awarded scholarships and rewards to more than 300,000 poor students who overcame difficulties, excellent students, and gifted students in various fields with more than 17,157 billion VND, an increase of 3 billion 850 million VND compared to the 8th "Nghe An Promotion of Education Tet" - 2011.

Also during the Tet holiday, the grassroots association for promoting learning mobilized and recruited more than 14,600 members, an increase of nearly 9,500, bringing the total number of members of the association for promoting learning in Nghe An province to more than 471,000 people, reaching 16% of the local population.
