More than 3,000 Ukrainian soldiers swear allegiance to Crimea
According to Itar-Tass, the government of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea (ARC) of Ukraine said that in the past day, more than 3,000 Ukrainian soldiers swore allegiance to the people of Crimea.
The ARC government representative announced: "More than 1,500 (Ukrainian) internal affairs soldiers and about 1,700 Ukrainian National Border Guard officers stationed on the peninsula took part in the oath-taking... The soldiers' switch to support the Crimean government took place very peacefully."

According to the representative, some Ukrainian military commanders are also expected to switch to supporting the Crimean government. However, he did not specifically name these commanders.
