More than 30 vehicles search for 2 crew members missing at sea due to ship sinking
(Baonghean.vn) - While fishing at sea, a fishing vessel suddenly encountered a whirlwind and was sunk by waves; one crew member was fortunately rescued in time, while two others are still missing.
At around 02:00 on May 3, fishing boat NA 4611 TS (8m long) was fishing for squid about 05 nautical miles from shore when it suddenly encountered a whirlwind, capsized and sank. On board were Mr. Hoang Duc Dong, born in 1990, the captain (owner of the boat) and 02 crew members, Mr. Hoang Duc Thi, born in 1989 and Mr. Truong Van Hung, born in 1985, both residing in Quynh Phuong ward, Hoang Mai town.
Mr. Hoang Duc Thi swam out and was rescued by a small boat, but Mr. Hoang Duc Dong and Mr. Truong Van Hung were missing.

Upon receiving the information, the Nghe An Border Guard Command directed the Quynh Phuong and Quynh Thuan Border Guard stations and coastal units to deploy forces and vehicles to coordinate with local authorities and other forces to urgently search for the two missing crew members. At the same time, it notified local vehicles operating near the area where the fishing boat crashed to assist in the search.
Currently, there are more than 30 large and small fishing vessels, along with rescue boats of Quynh Phuong and Quynh Thuan Border Guard Stations actively searching at the scene. At the same time, units are organizing forces to expand the search area in the coastal area to look for the 2 victims./.
